Group - 31st October 2009 - After extensive restoration, the HQ was re-opened officially on the 31st Otober 2009. For the occasion which was also halloween the HQ was set-up as a restaurant. A total of 130 people attended to the activty. The menu consisited of Garlic Bread and Brushetta as entree. Then as starters there was a selection of : Prawn Cocktail, Tomato & Mozzarella Salad, Egg Mayonnaise, Mixed Platter, Pumpkin Soup, Lasagna and Spaghetti Bolognese. Then a free sorbet was given out. As main course the choice was between : Rib-Eye Steak, Salmon Steak, Pork Chops or Chicken Breast, all served with fries and salads and mushroom or peppered sauces. For desert there where variuos ice-creams and cakes to choose from. The activity was regarded as a huge success and will be done again in the following months. Group - 25th October 2009 - A district Rally was organized at Birzebbugia. The groups met at the Parish Church where Mass was celebrated. Following the groups took part in a Parade which finished at B'Bugia HQ. Ventures -18th - 21th Septmber 2009- The venture unit partecipated in the yearly South District Venture Camp for th first time. th camp consisted in a big variety of activities where the Ventures learnt team building skills and had the opportunity to meet other Members from other Groups. Among the activities there where Catrapult building and a water battle between the groups. Oven building and cooking in it. A photo hunt incorportaed with a Scavenger's hunt. The members also learnt how to do some rope sinnets. The units alsa had the chance to meet the new Chief Scout where they where given an idea of his vision for the future of scouting. An other activity was meeting a priest who does missionary work in African countries who gave an ida of the suffering of these people. The campfire was an occasion to mix and have fun in a relaxed environment. On the whole the feedback from the unit was that it was a great experience for them from which they learnt a lot. Group - 7th - 16th August 2009 - This year's annual summer camp was held at the usual place in St.Thomas Bay, M'Scala. This year the cubs arrived frst at the campsite and spent a day alone. On the 8th the rest of the group arrived. The scouts immediatley put up their gadgets infront of their tents, while the Venture and the leaders took care to settle everything in the Kitchen and campsite. Some activities during the camp where : Raft building and racing, Obstacle Race, T-Shirt Painting, Aquarium building, Cook-out, oven buiding and cooking in it, Pioneering projects, a boat trip, a night hike and ther games. On Sunday the 10th August the yearly summer get together was held where many parents gathered together with their children in a fun environment. For this occasion the members put up some sketches to entertain their parents and friends. A big thanks goes to all the helpers who gave their help to set up and dimantle the campsite. Group - 3rd May 2009 - The Annual parade formerly known as St.George's Day was held in Valletta. The group participated at it's best in a parade where over 3,200 Scouts took part from all over the island. This years parade also reminded the 100 years of Scouting in Malta. Group -26th April 2009 - The group organized a church parade as training for the annual parade the following week. Ventures -17th - 19th April 2009- The venture unit organized the yearly expedition. This year the route was from Mgarr to Wied iz-Zurrieq and then towards our town of Zejtun. Cubs - 17th - 19th April 2009- The pack organized a Silver Arrow Camp at St.Thomas Bay. Beavers - 13th April 2009 - The beavers went to see the popular film Madagascar 2 at the cinema. Cubs - 29th March 2009 - The cubs section went for a cultural visit at Valletta and Mdina visiting many places of ineterest. Beavers - 28th March 2009 - The beavers section went for a fun day at the Playmobile fun park. Cubs - 21st March 2009 - The cubs attended the National Cub Day in Buskett which was organized the the IHQ. Group - 10th March 2009 - The group organized the Investiture for the new members which was followed by a get together for the parents an dthe members in our Hall. Scouts-14th February 2009- The troop went on a hike and cookout towards Delimara where they played and then cooked their meals on open fire. Ventures -16th - 18th January 2009- The computer weekend organized by the venture unit was held at the Domus Hall. A fierce competition to win the Italian Seria A and the English Premier League took place between the members. Some members of the troop also took part in this activity. Group - 11th January 2009 - The feast of the Sacred Family was held at Juventutis Domus where the group took part in a church parade around Zejtun's main streets.
